LMU requires all undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in 7 units or more, J1/F1 international students enrolled in 1 unit or more, and LMU Loyola Law School students enrolled in 1 unit or more, to have health insurance that covers surgery, hospitalization, specialty medical care, or other services outside the scope of Student Health Services. For graduate students, units must be "billable" units. Non-degree coursework does not count toward the 7 units causing a grad student to be automatically enrolled in the student health insurance plan.
LMU has partnered with Gallagher Student Health & Special Risk to manage the student health insurance waiver and enrollment process. Please visit gallagherstudent.com/lmu to learn more about the student health insurance plan, or to complete your enrollment/waiver transaction. LMU students are also eligible to enroll into voluntary vision and dental insurance through the Gallagher website.

Student & Athletic Accident Plan
LMU has a mandatory student accident insurance policy in place to provide coverage for enrolled students when an accidental injury occurs. The coverage is secondary or excess to any primary health insurance plan the student may have and is designed to cover out of pocket costs for medically necessary treatment to heal a covered injury after your health insurance pays its portion. When an injury occurs, the claim form must be completed by the student and submitted to the insurance program administrator. Please see brochure and claim form for additional information.
